San Miguel Brewery-Davao
The over-all electrical construction of SMC Davao Brewery in 1994-1996 was under the direct supervision of Engr. D.A. Amora, then Electrical Engineering Manager of SMBG, now Chief operating Officer of PEPSCOR. The brewery was completed in a world record of 17 months (from the drawing board to the first bottling production batch). The brewery with a capacity of 2.0 million hectoliters per year is powered by 2 x 5.0 MVA, 69 - 4.16 KV Looped Primary - Secondary Selective Substations with back-up generating capacity of 3 x 2.0 MVA Diesel Generating Sets complete with PLC driven fully automatic paralleling with TRANSCO grid. The facility is complete with a Brewhouse, a Filtration/Cellaring/Beer Processing Plant, a Two-Line Bottling Plant, Steam & Refrigeration Plant, CO2 Recovery Plant, Water Treatment Plant, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Training Center and an Administration Building.
