UPDATE:
BF Better Living Subdivision Chapel President Adan Ondiano with BFBL-HOA officer Nonoy Torre received from Barangay Basak Captain Belong Darnayla the amount P5,000.00 and the additional cash donation from Lapu-Lapu City Hon. Mayor Paz Radaza amounting P10,000.00 as promised by the Barangay Chief during the mass oath taking ceremony of the 2015-2016 new officers of BF Better Living Subdivision Homeowners Association, BFBL Chapel officers and BFBL Care for Youth.
The simple acceptance of the cash donations from both mentioned government officials of Lapu-Lapu City was held at the office Barangay Chief last Monday, 31st of August 2015.
Basak Chief donates BFBL Chapel Project
BF Better Living Subdivision homeowners were elated to Barangay Basak, Captain Isabelo “Belong” Darnayla on his announcement that he will help build the proposed BFBL Chapel.
Darnayla was the officiating government official during the mass oath taking ceremony of the 2015-2016 new officers of BF Better Living Subdivision Homeowners Association, BFBL Chapel officers and BFBL Care for Youth.
Darnayla is considered the undefeated barangay official in Lapu-Lapu and chief executive of the biggest barangay in the city where Mactan Export Processing Zone 1 and 2 are both located with estimated 47,000 population.
The humble barangay chief arrived, leave and drove by himself without any escort despite of the recent demised of Agus Barangay Captain Jovencio Lauron, whose killing presumed as politically motivated.
Darnayla also promised to talk to City Mayor Paz Radaza for an additional amount to help build the BFBL chapel project. - end-
The oath taking ceremony was held at the subdivision multipurpose playground last May 23, 2015. BFBL Subdivision is located in Basak, Lapu-Lapu City. The newly inducted officers also invited Darnayla to unveil the proposed chapel project of the community during the event.
“That is unexpected, we are just inviting him to induct the new officers but when he announced to help build the chapel, we are delighted and very thankful to Captain Darnayla”, one of the homeowners commented.
